Here in Italy， tiles are very inexpensive. All homes have tiles (no carpet found here!) and so you will find a vast range of styles and colors. That got me thinking…；..why not create something using tiles？ Well， let me show you how to make a gorgeous piece you can create for your home decor or to give as a gift (just make sure to include a plate stand =)？ All you need are a few supplies and you can make some of the most prettiest tile gifts or decor in no time!toddler pillow cases
Things you need：
-1 shiny glazed tile (any sizepersonalized grandpa gifts， just as long as it it big enough to stamp on…；I used one that is 8×；10)
-All surface ink pad (like StazOn)
-Stamp of your choice
-Ribbon and floral embellishment of your choice
-Glue gun or fast drying multi surface glue
Stamp your tile and let dry overnight (just to be it’；s dry). Don’；t worry if your stamping was less than perfect， it’；s part of the charm of tiles =)
？Next， ink the edges by swiping the ink pad over the edge.
Then， add your adhesive saying， rubbing off any dark sticky edges with an eraser.
Next， take your ribbon and wrap it around the tile， positioning it where you like. Then slide the ribbon points through the floral embellishment and tie a bow.
Isn’；t it pretty？ You can use all kinds of tiles in various colors and with any embellishment you have on hand =) Just experiment and see what comes out!
Happy tile decorating!
A Caribbean cruise provides you with a gorgeous palette for Summer style. Take the traditional red, white, and blue, then add a beautiful range of ocean teals and aquas. It’s a classic with a twist. This Spring, Jaime and I took a few of our girlfriends on a Carnival cruise and couldn’t help but think about how we could take some nautical style home with us. If we can’t have our own butler, comedian and bartender, at least we can try to recreate the feeling of our vaca on the high seas with pretty home decor.
Bacon wrapped kids anyone??? ?This sleeping bag combo was inspired by one of my favorite childhood books "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" which in recent years was adapted into an animated movie that my children enjoy as well. The book is about a town called "Chewandswallow" that gets it's food from the weather & is overcome with a natural disaster of freakishly large food items. As a child I always dreamed of what it would be like to live in a town with super-sized food. Now my kids don't have to dream of it, they can experience it first hand, wrapped in their cozy bacon & egg sleeping bag set.?NOTE: The egg doubles as a sleeping bag carrier/pillow case.
As 2016 draws to a close, it’s time to reflect on the past year and to look forward to the new opportunities that are ahead of us. What better way to welcome in 2017 than gathering friends and loved ones together over a few bubbles on New Years Eve!
